With the advent of customized lingual and labial orthodontic appliances, computer-assisted bracket placement, custom archwires, etc, it has become incumbent upon orthodontic auxiliaries to become proficient in taking excellent impressions chairside. Eliminate stress, eliminate lab rejections and enjoy the ease of your workflow by learning tips and hints on impression proficiency. This fun and informative session will target correct techniques in order to produce first-time quality impressions, enhance the patient experience, and eliminate the need for retakes and unnecessarily long chair times.

Presentation:
Since the Australian launch of Invisalign, in 2002, we have seen many changes and improvements to the Invisalign System.  We will look at the evolution of the system, from its inception through to 2012.  Reviewing the initial features and attachments and the changes over the years to the launch of Invisalign G3 in 2011; providing us with the most significant collection of innovations and new features in the company’s history.
The evolution of the Invisalign System shows ongoing improvements in clinical efficacy and practice workflow, the introduction of intra-oral scanning techniques, the latest in software improvements and interactivity, along with gradual changes to the aligners themselves.  As Invisalign continues to evolve as a treatment modality we are proud to exhibit an increasingly broad range of suitable patients and successful treatment outcomes using sequential plastic aligners.

One of the more recent and significant changes to the Invisalign process is the introduction of intra-oral scanning techniques, which occurred in 2011.  This new interoperability provides doctors with an alternative to the PVS impression and scanning technique for capturing the accurate data required prior to starting Invisalign treatment.  Ross Phillips, from Core3D Centres, will give us an in-depth look at the introduction of this technology, how it works and how it can be incorporated into your practice and simplify your Invisalign treatments and will give a live demonstration of the scanner in use.
